Shifts: 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pride Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a hospital in Kapaau, HI. This is a 40-hour per week, 13-week contract position, offering guaranteed hours. This is an excellent opportunity for LPNs looking to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

The LPN will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients in a hospital setting, supporting both the medical staff and patients across various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with experience in patient care, clinical procedures, and maintaining medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians and registered nurses.
• Record and document patient information, including medical histories, medications, and procedures.
• Assist with patient education, offering instructions and support on various health conditions and treatment plans.
• Provide wound care and perform basic clinical tasks such as catheterizations and specimen collection.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Provide coverage during emergency situations and support on-call staff when necessary.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in patient care, clinical tasks, and medical documentation.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
• Other Requirements: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
